Last week I had a fantastic opportunity to join a Climate-Kic 2-days Masterclass in Madrid.
It was a masterclass to prepare mature start-ups to get ready for investors. In this masterclass I had the opportunity to meet about 20 start-ups operating in EU with the commonality of having climate-impact. Talking to these inspiring entrepreneurs, gave me hope that there are like-minded people who care about their impact on the environment as much as I do.
The masterclass itself has been organised by moderators of venturelab.ch which was an astonishing VC focusing on startups in Switzerland with a global focus.
I took many great lessons in this class such as the thinking process of investors and the requirements. The best of all, I had the opportunity to speak Spanish again, after two years mostly English-speaking I thought I would have lost it. Unexpectedly, I got very quick back into the language that I was able to communicate in Spanish throughout my stay outside of the masterclass.
I have to say, Madrid is such a vibrant and young city, which is highly recommendable for tourist. One of the greatest things I have seen is that the city closes down Sundays a 3-lane road to turn it into a street for pedestrians. Such an impressive measurement to increase the life quality of its citizens.
