it’s been 17months since I started my full-time job at Daimler in the INspire trainee-programme. On this day, I decided to conclude my experience as I decided to move up in my final role as a project member for digitalisation.
Since the beginning I was sharing some insights from my very first project in Berlin. It turned out, my success and learnings of this particular project helped me to understand a crucial element every employee should pay attention to – customer centricity. A core element that becomes crucial in the most difficult or unpleasant experiences for the customer. I learned how limited options or ressources can‘t be taken as an excuse to not provide good customer service, transpareny, manners and empathy can.
Something I was living in every aspect of the interaction I had in this company to sensibles the importance of it with my colleagues.
I utilised this ability particularly in technological change and transformation aspects. In which, I helped push topics in the right path and get everybody on board. Some can say, change management ‚lite‘. As it energises the people and they see movement like waves.
I felt in charge for this kind of transformation in traditional and core business, despite my entrepreneurial background. I faced totally new kind of challenges on the peoples-side. Challenges, I never experienced or mindsets I took for granted. Despite the common-sense, radical change takes a lot of effort and time to get accepted and often ends in blocking. It’s an evident that people need to notice the movement and energy flowing in that field. Either from the management or from.the people. It’s like mussels in the deep ocean, they invest high kinetic energy at low output. As soon as the wave catches up, the output would take them much further.
As an organisation, we need to think of our workforce as the ocean. Unexpectedly strong, unterestimated variety and the purpose for surviving.
I am eager to help them shine in the light of the sun and also transform to the new world. Looking forward for my next challenge-
