The CEO of Equiwatt headhunted me for an internship at his tech-startup in the domain of AI-based smart home technology.
In the interview, I was representing myself as a technology-driven generalist with fast-learning and as an allrounder. The CEO, COO and an advisor from the university conducted the interview. All three were impressed by my drive for impact with my entrepreneurial spirit and my high motivation as a hard-working person.
The reason why I said yes, is that I see the potential of the technology to make an impact on peoples lives. It fills a market gap in an emerging environment. Strong collaborations and a market-ready prototype are one of the benefits of getting this project going. It was the passion of both co-founders that was inspirational. Both are, by the way, elected international entrepreneurs of the year with a permitted visa by the UK government. Only 200 internationals each year can get this visa. Moreover, one of the co-founders won several entrepreneurial awards and had been recognised as the top young entrepreneurs in the northeast and UK.
Learning from this expertise is unique and motivated me to take the role as a marketing manager with the responsibility of process planning and execution for the trial launch of 50 private households + institutions. Additionally, marketing content creation for digital; offline; trail and partners in B2C and B2B/B2B2C is crucial, in which I had and will create a creative start up image to represent the company as a consumer-centric startup.
Looking forward to experiencing the most out of it and learn more about the tech-startup scene in Newcastle. Notably, from the experience of both of the founders.
