Newcastle – let’s go

on

I’m flying on the 11th of January to Newcastle upon Tyne. A city in the Northeast of England close to the Scottish boarder. I am going to spent the next 6-months over there for an exchange semester for which I got granted with an ERASMUS scholarship.

I am travelling with my course mate, from my university in Stuttgart and we will live in a shared private accommodation.

Choosing Newcastle University rather a University in London was the reputation of the University. As part of the Russell group it counts to the top 1% of best university in the world. Furthermore, Newcastle has a special local culture – called Geordies. According to my business english lecturer, they are warm-hearted and very friendly.

My expectations of going to Newcastle links to my set goals. I want to benefit as much as I can in the next 6 months. I want to educate myself and expand my language/ vocabulary. I want to be more fluent and comfortable to speak english outside of the family and University.

I am super exited and looking forward for some rainy, but amazing months.
