What a blast of a time in Berlin. After spending four months in the capital, I leave with a total new perspective on livable cities and life quality in metropolitan areas. The merger of culture, contemporary and activism makes this city vibrant and heard by the people.
My work-occasion as my first project in this programme enhanced my perspective towards a more open-minded and encouraging person to a lot of people. I found that positivity is one of my significant strengths and colleagues shared this feedback with me. In reflection, I started to be more aware of the situation and bring myself in a very positive mood, even in stressful peaks of the day.
This experience reinforced a mindblowing conversation I had with a Tibetan monk about mindfulness and punctual meditation. It was about turning small confessed situations such as waiting on a lineup or airplane take-off to acknowledge the self in the body rather than wondering with the thoughts of something.
In the last couple of weeks, the sun brightens up the city of Berlin. The mood of the citizens raised and people started taking over the streets. Those passion for outside activities had made me think about having a positive mindset. However, there is for certain a part in which having the right mindset influences the expression and perception of others, despite the fact that the sun gives us good energy.
